Catalogspree.com

The Catalog Spree website evolved from being the "web version" of the mobile app to being a gateway for users to find out about the company and download the app to giving retailers the vital information they needed to partner with Catalog Spree to increase product sales and brand awareness.

The Challenge

Redesign the Catalog Spree website to focus more on retailers than on app users and update the look to reflect current web design trends. Other than our application screenshots, there was no "product" photography, exciting videos or even infographics to highlight what Catalog Spree and it's new software, Spree Studio could do. I would therefore have to create not only the wireframes, workflows and visuals for the new website, but also the supporting content designs as well.

My Role

Senior Designer

The Method

Work with Marketing and Engineering teams to tackle structure, workflows, wireframes and visuals for the new website. Having a small company at my disposal, taking team photos for the new website was the easiest aspect of the redesign. I began researching the latest web design trends to create the look and feel that aligned most to what the company was trying to accomplish. Given that I was the sole designer on this project I also determined that the simplest layouts and most concise workflows would be the wisest choice for a quick turn around. Visually, I decided to "marry" traditional print catalog with digital displays. This would convey the "catalogs gone digital" and "products to catalog" message we were aiming for.

Result

A more cohesive web experience that spoke to what Catalog Spree does and what it could do for sales and brand recognition for retail partners.
